On July 3, Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy Representative for International Trade Negotiations Ling Qi and Agahanov, Vice Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan, co-hosted the 9th meeting of the Sino-Turkish Cooperation Committee Economic and Trade Cooperation Sub-Committee via video. Ling ji said that China is ready to work with the Turkish authorities to fully implement the consensus reached by the heads of state of the two countries, promote the steady development of bilateral trade, expand cooperation in non-resource fields, raise the level of cross-border connectivity, and strengthen cooperation within the framework of the China-Central Asia mechanism. China firmly supports Turkmenistan's entry into the World Trade Organization to jointly safeguard free trade and the multilateral trading system with WTO at its core. Agahanov said that in recent years, economic and trade cooperation between Turkey and China has shown a positive and stable development trend. The Turkish authorities are willing to fully expand cooperation with China, implement priority economic cooperation projects, and tap the potential for transit transport.
