Baguio Green Group (01397) won the Marine Department's marine clean-up contract for the eastern waters of Hong Kong

According to the Zhitong Finance App, Baguio Green Group (01397) announced that the Group successfully won the bid for a three-year “Marine Waste Cleaning and Treatment Service in Eastern Hong Kong Waters” contract with a total value of about HK$150 million from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government Marine Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China.

This agreement marks the successful expansion of Baguio's service footprint from land to sea. It is an important milestone in the Group's business development and further consolidates its leading position in the integrated environmental services market in Hong Kong.

According to the agreement, Baguio will provide comprehensive marine cleaning and marine domestic waste collection services in the eastern waters of Hong Kong (including but not limited to Victoria Harbour, Central, Sheung Wan, Tsim Sha Tsui, Yau Ma Tei, Cheung Sha Wan, Shau Kei Wan, Kwun Tong, Sai Kung, Tolo Port and Tai Po) from October 1, 2025.

Obtaining this agreement represents the market's full recognition of Baguio's outstanding performance in the 45 years since its establishment. The Group seamlessly extends its professional standards of land-based waste management and operational efficiency to the sea, strives to protect Hong Kong's precious marine ecosystem and present a cleaner and more beautiful Victoria Harbour to the public and global travelers. Victoria Harbour is not only a symbol of Hong Kong as a cosmopolitan city, but also a central stage for the government to promote the event economy. A number of international events, such as fireworks displays, drone shows and the Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races, are held in Victoria Harbour. Through its professional services, the Group will provide key environmental support for the various events in Victoria Harbour covered by the agreement and further enhance the international image of Hong Kong, China.
