On July 2, at the 2025 Global Digital Economy Conference held in Beijing, a global science and technology literature data platform independently created by Chinese institutions with completely independent intellectual property rights was launched. The Dongbi Global Science and Technology Literature Data Platform contains nearly 90 million pieces of high-quality science and technology literature metadata from around the world. It is a scientific and technological literature data platform independently collected, processed, and constructed based on an evaluation index system proposed independently by Chinese institutions. It has completely independent intellectual property rights, is safe and controllable, and will break the Western monopoly in this field to a certain extent. The data platform also introduced two major AI functions, “interpretation of scholar results” and “automatic generation of reviews,” which is equivalent to equipping every user with an “AI assistant”. Users can use common language to ask the AI assistant about each scholar's research direction, research characteristics, outstanding contributions, and even comparisons between different scholars. After launch, the basic functions of the data platform will be free to users around the world, providing efficient services such as document search, citation analysis, and data tracking. It provides the vast majority of science and technology workers in China with more convenient and inclusive tools to help carry out high-quality scientific and technological research and promote the development of China's science and technology industry.
