The Zhitong Finance App learned that recently, the April urban rail transit operation data released by the Ministry of Transport shows that in April 2025, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps opened 326 urban rail transit lines and operated 326 urban rail transit lines with an operating mileage of 10,975.8 kilometers. In fact, 3.61 million trains were operated, completed 2.85 billion passengers, and 1.70 billion inbound passengers. In April, passenger traffic decreased by 0.3 million people month-on-month, a decrease of 1.0%, and a year-on-year increase of 90 million passengers, an increase of 3.3%. The average passenger traffic intensity of the country's total operating mileage in April was 86.5 million passengers per kilometer day, an increase of 2.1% over the previous month and a decrease of 3.5% over the previous year. There are no new routes opened this month.

Among them, 43 cities opened and operated 268 subway and light rail lines, with an operating mileage of 9507.8 kilometers, with an operating mileage of 2.75 billion passengers and 1.63 billion passengers; 16 cities opened and operated 25 monorail, maglev, and urban rapid rail transit lines, with an operating mileage of 970.7 kilometers, completed 86.95 million passenger traffic and 58.09 million inbound stops; 18 cities opened and operated 33 streetcar and automatic guided rail lines with an operating mileage of 497.3 kilometers and completed 10.47 million passenger stops 9.9 million visitors.
