Renewals in Key Markets in 95% of the U.S. Mean More Raw Adventures Ahead
NEW YORK, May 8, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- AIM Tell-A-Vision® Group (AIM TV), producers of the nation's most-watched travel show, Raw Travel TV, announced today that the show has been renewed in over 179 cities representing 95% of the United States so far, and granted a "firm go" for what they are deeming "Lucky Season 13" (2025-26) beginning September 20-21, 2025.
"Lucky Season 13" will build on the momentum generated by Season 12, which utilizes Raw Travel's extensive 200-episode evergreen library from the last ten seasons and has been a hit.
The recently completed first quarter saw Raw Travel's viewership trending upward for four seasons in a row, surging by over 15% from 2022 and over 8% growth year over year.
The producers attribute the strength and diversity of its library to this rare instance of a mature broadcast TV program showing year-over-year growth as overall TV viewership declines.
"Our library was designed to be evergreen. Even though the world and television have changed dramatically since we first launched in 2013, it's clear that the episodes are still resonating," said Robert G. Rose, Executive Producer and Host of the series. "Now that we're moving to broadcasting the second, more recent half of our library, we are moving the older library online, which creates a symbiotic ecosystem whereby our online fans become TV viewers and vice versa. We think we have more potential growth ahead," Rose continued.
Raw Travel's digital footprint is being emphasized in 2025-26 to support the syndicated broadcast initiative, with the recently redesigned and more user-friendly website RawTravel.tv leading the way. Additionally, behind-the-scenes and digital-first content has been launched on social media channels such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, BlueSky, and TikTok, under the monikers @rawtraveltv.
The straight-to-YouTube short webisode, "El Salvador: Paradise or Prison," premiered recently as the first travel video journalism piece aimed at raising awareness of El Salvador's current struggle between security and democracy. It also highlights Raw Travel's airings in syndication, particularly among younger viewers who may be unfamiliar with broadcast TV.
The award-winning "My Summer in Ukraine" docuseries, which premiered on broadcast TV in 2024, is also gaining views online and will continue with nationwide screenings and other travelogue showcases in Iowa, Michigan, New York, Puerto Rico, Tennessee, and more.
Over its history, the show has raised funds and highlighted scores of non-profit organizations helping the unhoused, orphaned children, people with disabilities, displaced refugees, etc., as well as encouraging earth stewardship, sustainable living, and travel with a purpose. All while maintaining its crown as the most-watched authentic travel show on commercial television.
