As brands continue to launch new products, shipments simultaneously broke through new highs. In the first quarter of 2025, there were about 507,000 units, an annual increase of 175%. In the second quarter, it mainly benefited from the large release of 27-inch UHD models, and shipments are expected to reach 650,000 units. It is estimated that shipments will reach 2.58 million units in 2025, with an annual growth rate of 81%, and the overall display penetration rate will grow to 2%.
Samsung (Samsung)
Analyzing the market performance of the top five OLED display brands in the first quarter, Samsung (Samsung) ranked first with a market share of over 22%, and its main 49-inch products accounted for 40% of shipments. It is expected that in the second quarter, with the popularity of 27-inch UHD products, the 27-inch OLED display will become Samsung's highest shipment ratio.
Asus (ASUS)
Asus's market share jumped from fourth place to second place in the first quarter. The gap with Samsung was less than a percentage point, and in February and March it reached number one in monthly shipments. Asus has invested many resources in OLED displays and experimented with various product possibilities, such as portable dual-screen displays, to fully lay out the product line.
MSI (MSI)
With a market share of 14%, MSI ranked third among OLED displays in the first quarter of 2025. Its steady performance stemmed from actively laying out new channels and new OLED products in 2024, which effectively led to a significant increase in display shipments. MSI not only set a record for the highest annual growth rate of display shipments of various brands in 2024, reaching 63%, but its OLED display also increased 36 times per year. Furthermore, the increase in shipments of its high-end OLED products has also driven the overall annual increase in e-sports display shipments of 69%, and its performance is also in a leading position in the industry.
LGE
TrendForce Jibang Consulting said that in the first quarter of 2025, LGE ranked fourth in the OLED display market with a 13% market share. The company launched a new 45-inch WUHD product this season, boosting its share of shipments of products of the same size to 25%. However, starting in the second quarter, the volume gap with other OLED display brands is expected to gradually widen due to LGE's unplanned 27-inch UHD products with strong sales performance in the market.
Dell (Dell)
Dell (Dell) had a market share of 11% in the first quarter and is temporarily in fifth place. The company launched a 27-inch UHD model in the first quarter, which is expected to be popular in 2025. It also focused on expanding the business application market and launched a new 31.5-inch 120Hz product. The contribution of these two new products to shipments is expected in the second quarter, which is expected to drive Dell's market share ranking to fourth or third place.
