I learned from the Beijing Municipal Administration Committee that in the five years since the implementation of the new “Beijing Municipal Domestic Waste Management Regulations”, the city's domestic waste recycling rate reached 42%, completing the “14th Five-Year Plan” target ahead of schedule; the garbage resource treatment capacity, mainly incineration and biochemical treatment, increased from 24,780 tons/day to 31,145 tons/day, achieving zero landfill of native waste one year ahead of schedule.
