The research results were published online in the authoritative international journal “Nature” at 23:00 Beijing time on May 7. In actual verification, researchers found that the removal rate of this novel engineering strain exceeded 60% of the 5 target pollutants within 48 hours. Among them, biphenyl achieved 100% complete degradation, and the degradation rate of complex pollutants such as toluene and dibenzofuran was nearly 90%.
