In the first quarter, the country's per capita disposable income was 12,179 yuan, a nominal increase of 5.5% over the same period last year. After deducting price factors, the actual increase was 5.6%. Looking at urban and rural areas, the per capita disposable income of urban residents was 15,887 yuan, an increase of 4.9% (all nominal year-on-year increases, if not specified below). Excluding price factors, the actual increase was 5.0%; the per capita disposable income of rural residents was 7003 yuan, an increase of 6.2%. After deducting price factors, the actual increase was 6.5%.

Residents' income and consumption expenditure for the first quarter of 2025

I. Residents' income situation

In the first quarter, the country's per capita disposable income was 12,179 yuan, a nominal increase of 5.5% over the same period last year. After deducting price factors, the actual increase was 5.6%. Looking at urban and rural areas, the per capita disposable income of urban residents was 15,887 yuan, an increase of 4.9% (all nominal year-on-year increases, if not specified below). Excluding price factors, the actual increase was 5.0%; the per capita disposable income of rural residents was 7003 yuan, an increase of 6.2%. After deducting price factors, the actual increase was 6.5%.

According to income sources, in the first quarter, the country's per capita wage income was 6,976 yuan, an increase of 5.9%, accounting for 57.3% of disposable income; per capita net operating income of 2,071 yuan, an increase of 5.7%, accounting for 17.0% of disposable income; per capita net property income of 1,015 yuan, an increase of 2.7%, accounting for 8.3% of disposable income; and per capita net transfer income of 2,117 yuan, an increase of 5.5%, accounting for 17.4% of disposable income.

In the first quarter, the country's median per capita disposable income was 9,939 yuan, an increase of 5.0%, and the median was 81.6% of the average. Among them, the median per capita disposable income of urban residents was 13,450 yuan, an increase of 4.5%, and the median was 84.7% of the average; the median per capita disposable income of rural residents was 5,575 yuan, an increase of 6.3%, and the median was 79.6% of the average.

II. Consumer spending

In the first quarter, the country's per capita consumption expenditure was 7,681 yuan, a nominal increase of 5.2% over the same period last year. After deducting the impact of price factors, the actual increase was 5.3%. Looking at urban and rural areas, the per capita consumption expenditure of urban residents was 9,363 yuan, an increase of 4.7%. After deducting price factors, the actual increase was 4.8%; the per capita consumption expenditure of rural residents was 5,333 yuan, an increase of 5.6%. After deducting price factors, the actual increase was 5.9%.

In the first quarter, the country's per capita food, tobacco and alcohol consumption expenditure was 2,420 yuan, up 2.8%, accounting for 31.5% of per capita consumption expenditure; per capita clothing consumption expenditure was 498 yuan, up 1.2%, accounting for 6.5% of per capita consumption expenditure; per capita household consumption expenditure was 1,595 yuan, up 2.1%, accounting for 20.8% of per capita consumption expenditure; per capita consumption expenditure on household goods and services was 417 yuan, an increase of 9.6%, accounting for 5.4% per capita consumption expenditure; per capita transportation and communication consumption expenditure was 1,044 yuan, an increase of 10.4% per capita The share of consumer expenditure was 13.6%; per capita expenditure on education, culture and entertainment was 823 yuan, up 13.9%, accounting for 10.7%; per capita consumption expenditure on health care was 648 yuan, an increase of 3.0%, accounting for 8.4% of per capita consumption expenditure; consumption of other goods and services per capita was 236 yuan, an increase of 9.9%, accounting for 3.1% of per capita consumption expenditure.
