China Southern Airlines Co., Ltd. (01055) passenger capacity investment increased 3.07% year-on-year in March

According to the Zhitong Finance App, China Southern Airlines Co., Ltd. (01055) announced that in March 2025, the Group's passenger capacity investment (in terms of usable seat kilometers) rose 3.07% year on year, with a 3.15% year-on-year decrease in China, and up 1.76% and 25.46% year on year respectively; passenger turnover (in terms of passenger kilometers revenue) increased 6.08% year on year, and the passenger occupancy rate was up 0.63%, 2.29% and 25.54% year on year, respectively; the passenger occupancy rate was 84.74%, up 2.40 percentage points year on year, of which Domestic, regional and international year-on-year increases were 3.21, 0.39, and 0.05 percentage points, respectively.

In terms of freight, in March 2025, freight capacity investment (in terms of usable tons of kilometers - freight and mail traffic) increased by 2.82% year on year; cargo and mail turnover (in terms of tons of revenue - freight and mail traffic) increased 5.45% year on year; cargo and mail carrying rate was 54.56%, up 1.36 percentage points year on year.

In March 2025, the Group added the following major routes: Haikou-Nanjing-Haikou (seven flights per week).

In March 2025, the Group introduced 13 aircraft (including 7 A321NEO aircraft, 2 A320NEO aircraft, 1 B737-8 aircraft, 1 B787-9 aircraft, 1 C909 aircraft and 1 B777F aircraft) and withdrew 4 aircraft (including 3 B737-700 aircraft and 1 A330-200 aircraft). As of the end of March 2025, the Group operated a total of 932 transport aircraft.
