Recently, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China officially signed the “Quadripartite Cooperation Agreement on QR Code Retail Payment Connectivity between China and Vietnam” with UnionPay International, Vietnam National Payment Corporation, and Vietnam Foreign Trade Bank. As the Chinese clearing bank for the China-Vietnam QR code retail payment interconnection project, ICBC actively coordinates communication and cooperation with various relevant parties such as UnionPay International, Vietnam National Payment Corporation, and Vietnam Foreign Trade Bank to innovate and promote cross-border QR code payment clearing services between China and Vietnam. The project aims to deepen the interconnection of payment networks between China and Vietnam, provide more convenient financial payment services around the cross-border payment needs of consumers in the two countries, and continuously enrich practical economic and trade cooperation between China and Vietnam.
