According to the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on March 13, 2025, Long Zhou, Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Yoon Joo-hyun, Director of the Consular Security Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, co-hosted the 22nd round of consular consultations between China and South Korea in Beijing. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on developing consular relations between China and South Korea, facilitating personnel exchanges, and safeguarding the safety and legitimate rights and interests of overseas citizens. The two sides agreed to continue strengthening consular cooperation, continuously raise the level of facilitation of personnel exchanges, safeguard the safety and legitimate rights and interests of citizens, create a favorable environment for friendly exchanges and practical cooperation in various fields between the two peoples, and help the development of bilateral relations.
