As one of the first cities in Guangdong Province to expand its affordable housing policy, Huizhou began construction of an allotted guaranteed housing system in January of last year. Currently, the city has laid out 5 affordable housing projects, including 2 in Huicheng District, distributed on Jinlong Avenue and Shuikou West District, and 1 project each in Zhongkai High-tech Zone, Huidong County, and Longmen County, with a total number of over 3,000 units. In order to further regulate rules on housing collection, application conditions, and closure management, the Huizhou Housing and Construction Department will issue the “Huizhou Municipal Administrative Measures on Affordable Rental Housing for Sale” this year. Currently, the “Measures” are in the consultation stage, and the construction of waiting depots is being promoted simultaneously.
