Walker & Dunlop has arranged $22 million in LIHTC equity for the construction of Commons at Acequia Trails, a permanent supportive housing development located in the San Antonio metro area.

The W&D Affordable Equity team led by Blair Holden arranged the 4% LIHTC new construction equity syndication on behalf of client The Vecino Group. Other partners included SAMMinistries, San Antonio Housing Trust, the City of San Antonio, Bexar County, and Opportunity Home San Antonio.

Commons at Acequia Trails will provide housing for individuals at risk of or transitioning out of homelessness, with units available for those earning 30% to 60% of the area median income. Additionally, 80 units will be supported by a 15-year Section 8 HAP contract.

Commons at Acequia Trails will be a 201-unit permanent supportive housing development. The development will feature 132 efficiency units and 69 one-bedroom units. The development will also include a community room with a kitchen and pantry, a business center, and a fitness room.
