The Haikou Municipal Transportation and Port and Shipping Administration issued a notice to resume transportation at 22:00 on March 12 at Haikou New Seaport, Xiuying Port and Railway South Port due to the weakening of the impact of heavy fog in the Qiongzhou Strait. After the resumption of transportation, the port will give priority to evacuating Lutong trucks and minibuses that were waiting in the port before the suspension of service. It is estimated that it will take 2 hours to restore normal order. Drivers and passengers leaving the island are requested to avoid the peak of evacuation and delay their arrival at the port. During the suspension period, ferry tickets will be delayed and valid.
