Qunzhi Consulting: Mainstream monitor panel prices will completely stop falling in February or usher in a slight moderate increase

The Zhitong Finance App learned that Qunzhi Consulting published an article stating that in January, demand in the global display market showed a short-term upward trend. On the one hand, under the impact of the US tariff policy, which is about to be implemented in the first quarter, some brand manufacturers have released a certain short-term boost demand in order to cope with the impact; on the other hand, TV panel prices have already taken the lead in rising in January, causing expectations of MNT price increases to rise, which in turn is driving up demand for goods in the short term. On the supply side, under the “on-demand production” strategy, panel manufacturers' overall inventory is at a healthy level, and market supply is in a tight balance; due to the transmission of TV panel prices, panel manufacturers are anxious to see MNT prices stop falling and stabilize. As a result, MNT panel prices are expected to stabilize in January. It is predicted that the short-term tight supply situation will become more prominent in January, the price of mainstream monitor panels will completely stop falling, and February may usher in a slight moderate increase.

Entering January, demand for laptop panels also showed a short-term upward trend. On the one hand, the “trade-in” policy of state subsidies is expected to resume from the first quarter and may further expand the budget size. Driven by this benefit, demand for e-sports and high-end consumer demand in the Chinese market will rise steadily. On the other hand, due to the impact of the tariff policy, major brand manufacturers have stepped up their preparation efforts to cushion the impact and drive the continuous increase in panel demand expectations in the first quarter. On the supply side, panel manufacturers continue to implement the “on-demand production” strategy, and the relationship between supply and demand in the market is still relatively balanced. As a result, entry-level and mainstream laptop prices will continue to remain stable in January, but the prices of mid-range and high-end specifications will continue to decline slightly due to competitive factors in technology.

Overall, Sigmaintell (Sigmaintell) predicts that TN panel prices will remain stable in January, while mainstream 16:9 spec panel prices will remain stable. Prices for mid-range and high-end panels continued to fall slightly.
