The Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Yeung Yun-hung, held a press conference on the 26th to announce the “Blueprint for the Development of the Literary, Artistic and Creative Industries”. The “Blueprint” proposes four development directions and a total of 71 measures to set the direction for the future development of Hong Kong's cultural, artistic and creative industries. The four development directions proposed in the “Blueprint” are: first, promoting outstanding traditional Chinese culture and developing Hong Kong's characteristic cultural connotations; second, developing diverse and international cultural and artistic industries; third, establishing an international platform to promote cultural and artistic exchanges between China and foreign countries; and fourth, improving the literary and creative industry ecosystem.
