Previously, the group standard “Methods and Requirements for Quantifying the Carbon Footprint of Power Battery Products”, drafted by the China Automobile Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance and co-prepared by various organizations, was released in October 2024 and implemented on November 1 this year. Ma Xiaoli, executive secretary general of the China Automobile Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance, told reporters that, guided by the “Guidelines for Preparing Carbon Footprint Accounting Rules and Standards for Key Industrial Products” recently issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, this platform will be used for carbon accounting for power batteries.
