US President Joe Biden said he will send Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to Israel to continue to push for an end to the war with Hamas after the death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. Biden spoke on the phone with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He said he hopes to work to free the hostages taken by Hamas on October 7 last year and begin planning for the future of Gaza. “Now is the time to move on,” Biden told reporters after arriving in Berlin, Germany. “Move forward and achieve a cease-fire in Gaza to ensure that we move in a direction that can make the whole world a better place. It's time to put an end to this war and let the hostages go home.”
