On the 16th, the Pacific Island Countries Launch Conference and Seminar for the “One Country, One Product” initiative opened in Nanjing, Jiangsu. More than 120 participants from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, Pacific Island countries, universities, institutions and businesses in China attended the conference. The event was co-hosted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the China-Pacific Islands Agricultural Cooperation Demonstration Center, the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry of Solomon Islands, and hosted by the Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences. At the opening ceremony, representatives of the organizers and Pacific Island countries jointly launched the “One Country, One Product” action ceremony for Pacific Island countries. Eight Pacific island countries, including Cook Islands, Fiji, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, and Vanuatu, participated.
