China Energy Construction Group revealed on October 14 that construction of the Shuangyashan Green Methanol and Green Aviation Fuel Demonstration Base Project — China's first 100,000-ton scale demonstration project using wind hydrogen fusion biomass to produce green aviation fuel — has officially started. The demonstration base project located in Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province has a total investment of 20.8 billion yuan and plans to produce 300,000 tons of green aviation fuel and 200,000 tons of green methanol per year. Phase I will build a 450 megawatt wind farm and photovoltaic power plant, a hydrogen-electrolysis plant, a biomass pretreatment plant, and a green aviation fuel synthesis plant. The demonstration base project adopted a number of world-leading solutions and adopted various technologies such as electric-hydrogen-carbon high-efficiency coupling industrial technology with independent intellectual property rights, to fully realize the deep integration of flexible wind power hydrogen production and chemical processes.
