On October 14, the Information Office of the Shanxi Provincial Government held the first press conference on the theme of “Promoting High-Quality Development and Deepening All-round Transformation”. Zhang Xiang, deputy director of the Shanxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission, introduced Shanxi's progress in advancing the energy revolution. Zhang Xiang said that energy consumption in Shanxi is more low-carbon and efficient. In the first three years of the 14th Five-Year Plan, energy consumption intensity in Shanxi Province decreased by 10.9%, and 115 national-level green factories were built. A total of 65.65 million kilowatts of “three-reform linkage” of coal power units have been completed, and 100% of the current coal-fired power units have met gas-grade emission standards. Furthermore, all steel-producing companies in Shanxi have completed ultra-low emission transformation, and the coking industry accounts for more than 96% of advanced production capacity. All newly built urban buildings have met green building standards, and the “highway+photovoltaic” model has been fully promoted.
