On September 29, China Central Radio and Television and Renmin University of China jointly built the School of Journalism signing event in Beijing. Shen Haixiong, vice-minister of the Propaganda Department of the CPC and director of China Central Radio and Television, attended and together with Zhang Donggang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Renmin University of China, unveiled the “China Central Radio and Television - Renmin University of China Intelligent Communication Innovation Laboratory” and “China Central Radio and Television - Renmin University of China Intelligent Communication Innovation Laboratory”. Wang Xiaozhen, deputy director of China Central Radio and Television, and Lin Shangli, president of Renmin University of China, signed a contract on behalf of both parties. According to the agreement, China Central Radio and Television and Renmin University of China will jointly build a “Joint Training Base for Outstanding Journalism and Communication Talents”, cooperate to train news communication talents with excellent qualifications through joint construction of Marxist journalism quality courses, key teams, and internship practice bases; and jointly build an “Intelligent Communication Innovation Laboratory” to promote the deep integration and development of intelligent communication terminals and smart lifestyles. In addition, the two sides also jointly launched a research project on the topic of “Establishing Morality and Building People to Implement Media Responsibilities and Missions to Help Students with Ideological and Political Education”. Through innovative practices such as “General Station IP Entering the Campus,” “Luming Classroom,” and “Walking the Frontier of Great Countries,” the two sides subtly and silently demonstrated the educative charm of these “Big Thinking and Politics Courses” with the temperament of the times.
