The official website of the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration reported on September 29 that recently, GAC Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. and FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the “Regulations on the Administration of Recalls of Defective Vehicle Products” and the “Implementation Measures on the Administration of Recalls of Defective Automobile Products”. Vehicles will be recalled from September 29, 2024. GAC Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. will recall some Fenglanda Dual Engine vehicles manufactured from July 19, 2023 to September 7, 2024, for a total of 72,828 vehicles. FAW-Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. will recall some Corolla Reefang Dual Engine vehicles manufactured from July 3, 2023 to September 9, 2024, for a total of 59,296 vehicles. Vehicles covered by this recall are unable to properly adjust the brake fluid pressure when braking during steering due to imperfect brake actuator control computer programs. In extreme cases, the vehicle may be unable to provide braking power according to the driver's intention for a very short period of time. The braking distance is longer than the driver's predicted distance, increasing the risk of vehicle collision, and there are safety hazards.
