The first meeting of the China-Arab Think Tank Alliance was held in Shanghai on the 27th. Representatives from China, 19 Arab countries and nearly 40 think tanks from the Arab League discussed topics such as “promoting high-quality development between China and Argentina in the new era” and “promoting a cease-fire in Gaza to achieve a comprehensive and just settlement of the Palestinian issue.” The Arab delegates attending the meeting highly appreciated the important contribution made by China to maintain regional peace and stability by speaking out on issues such as Palestine. Chinese and Arab think tanks joined forces to voice a common voice, putting forward the Sino-Arab proposition and the Sino-Arab plan to achieve long-term stability in the region, in an effort to promote an early, comprehensive, just and lasting settlement of the Palestinian issue.
