The first 10-million-kilowatt “Shagowang” delivery base project in southern Xinjiang began in Ruoqiang County this morning. The project is a power supply project for the fourth channel of “Jiangdian Overseas Transmission”. After completion, the project will further optimize the allocation of energy resources across the country and enhance energy security. The total investment for the fourth channel of “Jiangdian Outbound” is about 100 billion yuan, and the power supply project is an important part of it. The total installed capacity of the power project is planned to exceed 19 million kilowatts, including wind power, photovoltaics, and high-efficiency coal power and a high proportion of new energy storage. After the project is completed and put into operation, more than 60% of green electricity will be delivered to the Sichuan and Chongqing regions.
