On September 27, the 10th BRICS Communications Ministers Meeting was held in Innopolis, Russia. With the theme of “Balancing Sovereignty and Connectivity”, the conference held extensive discussions on topics such as artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, and digital capabilities. The conference was hosted by the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of Russia, which holds the rotating presidency of the BRICS countries in 2024. The meeting reviewed and approved the “Declaration of the 10th BRICS Communications Ministers Meeting”. Meanwhile, Zhang Yunming held talks with heads of BRICS delegations from Russia and other countries to exchange views on strengthening cooperation in the field of communications and coordination under a multilateral framework.
