WASHINGTON, Sept 27 (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said he had a candid and substantive meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Friday and underscored strong U.S. concerns about China's support for Russia' defense industrial base.

Blinken told a news conference that in the meeting on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly in New York, he raised China's "dangerous and destabilizing actions" in the South China Sea and discussed improving communication between the U.S. and Chinese militaries, ways to disrupt the flow of drugs into the United States, and the risks posed by artificial intelligence.
