CHICAGO, Sept 27 (Reuters) - Basis bids for soybeans eased in Iowa, the second-biggest producer of the crop, on Friday after higher prices encouraged farmer selling this week, brokers said.
* The corn basis was flat to mixed.
* Basis bids for soybeans fell by 5 cents per bushel each at processors in Cedar Rapids and Council Bluffs, Iowa, and by 4 cents at a river terminal near Davenport, Iowa, spot checks showed.
* "Farmers took advantage of the recent $1-plus rally to make some sales," said Tomm Pfitzenmaier, analyst for Summit Commodity Brokerage in Des Moines.
* Chicago Board of Trade soybean futures Sv1 reached a two-month high on Thursday on concerns over drought in top exporter Brazil before ending lower. The market rose again early on Friday.
* U.S. farmers are expected to make strides harvesting large soybean and corn crops this weekend. However, rains and wind from Hurricane Helene could hit fields in Indiana and Ohio, brokers said.
