On September 27, Wang Shuwen, International Trade Negotiator and Vice Minister of International Economic Relations of the Ministry of Commerce, and Sanhuesa, Vice Minister of International Economic Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile, co-hosted the 21st meeting of the China-Chile Mixed Economic and Trade Commission to exchange views on key topics of Sino-Chilean economic and trade cooperation. Wang Shuwen pointed out that China is willing to further promote bilateral trade, and the Chilean side is welcome to actively participate in important exhibitions such as the Expo, the Canton Fair, and the Digital Trade Fair. China is willing to cooperate with Chile to organize online and offline matchmaking activities between enterprises to cultivate more practical cooperation opportunities. China is ready to continue to encourage Chinese enterprises to expand their investment in Chile and explore cooperation in emerging fields such as new energy and the digital economy. We hope that Chile will provide a fairer and friendlier business environment for Chinese enterprises, effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises in Chile, and use trade remedy measures carefully. Sanhuesa said that Chile is willing to discuss global value chain cooperation with China under the free trade agreement, promote economic and trade exchanges between small and medium-sized enterprises between the two sides, and continue to strengthen mutual support and cooperation with China under a multilateral framework to jointly promote the development of international trade and investment cooperation.
