CHICAGO, Aug 30 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for soybeans in the U.S. Midwest were flat to lower on Friday as lingering sales of old-crop supplies by farmers fueled a softer tone in the market, grain dealers said.
* Soybean futures temporarily traded above $10 per bushel in the most-active contract Sv1 for the first time since Aug. 12. The market then pared gains as farmer selling and expectations for a record U.S. harvest kept a lid on prices.
* The spot soybean basis eased by 5 cents a bushel at a processor in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and by 2 cents at a Cincinnati, Ohio, elevator.
* The corn basis rose by 9 cents at Cincinnati.
* Some locations rolled their corn basis to the Chicago Board of Trade December CZ24 futures contract ahead of the Sept. 13 expiration of the CBOT September corn contract CU24.
* CBOT November soybeans SX24 were up 3-1/2 cents at $9.96 per bushel, while December corn rose 3-1/4 cents to $3.99-1/4 per bushel by 11:20 a.m. CDT (1620 GMT).
* CBOT markets will close on Monday for the U.S. Labor Day holiday.
